I started with a deep research of the foundation of the Woolworth building. The skyscraper illustrates the footers, concrete, columns, master columns and gilders from the basement. The structure’s layout remains the same up the 29th floor. On the 29th floor we have the Panteón A and Panteón B. I decided to take about 20’ from this 3 bedroom apartment in the living room located at the south side of the building. This area faces Broadway one of the most beautiful views projecting City Hall Park and the entrance of the Woolworth building.
Skyscraper structures are a contribution to the American society since the industrial revolution. Therefore, to follow a functional structural form; the steel frame of this vessel is extracted from Woolworth's building steel structure. This vessel could be used for redrawing and documenting existing preserved buildings in the site. In addition, it could be expanded or duplicated in different locations in the site.
